Welcome to THE ACCOUNTING SCHOOL

TheAccounting School is the brain child of veteran accounts professional VRINDA SHAH - a Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, and a Company Secretary with three decades of experience of helping clients build their business(sometimes from scratch). I started my career as an Article clerk and gained in-depth experience across a wide range of areas covering basic accounting to complex taxation matters relating to individuals as well as various entities such as partnership firms, and limited liability companies. It was during this journey that I became acutely aware of what is referred to as the ‘expectation gap’. This is the gap between what clients expect out of their accountant, and what they actually get as service. Most people go to their accountants hoping to get advice on a broad range of matters, including taxation planning, personal wealth advancement, as well as the basics in tax and compliance. Unfortunately, not all accounting business models are geared to fill this gap. I found there was an opportunity to fill this gap.

However, I thought the best way to approach this was not by merely looking after my business interest but use my accumulated experience of three decadesto give it back to the industry and the community at large in a cost effective manner. This is what led to The Accounting School being formed. The journey thus began with a small step.

Mahila Bachat and Clean Minds

It was a normal routine working day and I received a call from a friend who is actively involved in social work for empowerment of women. She wanted to invite me for a short talk at the Balwadi (nursery ) run by her Trust. It was about explaining the young moms about importance of cleanliness and bachat yojana (small saving scheme).

Now I can relate to explaining saving scheme but was little bewildered at the word ‘cleanliness’. Being in the profession which is sometimes looked at with not so clean thoughts by Janata, I was curious to know if any pun intended in her conversation.

However my doubt was dissolved when she explained how both are related. It was like following a cleanliness routine would reduce the illness and related expenses leading to a lot of savings in the house hold. Clean environment can lead to healthy clean minds. As very well put up by our honourable PM in swaccha Bharat Mission.
